Family in New York City

About Hockey Family Life

Welcome to our site, the hub born out of our passion for hockey and a journey that began with our son, Parker, lacing up his skates in New York City at the age of four. From his first strides as a mini mite to becoming a Pee Wee, we've not only grown to love the game of hockey but also learned to navigate its unique challenges, particularly within the craziness of city life

This website is meant to be an honest reflection of our journey to date - from navigating city traffic for early morning practices to cheering at exhilarating games. Living in a city as vibrant and demanding as New York, we quickly realized that fostering a child's passion for hockey presented unique challenges. We hope that by sharing our experiences, we can offer some guidance to others on a similar path.

Our site doesn't claim to have all the answers, but we aim to share the lessons, values, and practical insights we've gained along the way. We hope to serve as a friendly resource for families beginning their hockey journey or for those already deep in the game, looking for tips and insights that might resonate.

You can expect to find a variety of content here, from our personal experiences and equipment reviews to tips for tournaments and interviews with coaches. We'll share workouts that have worked for Parker and stories that have shaped our hockey journey.

We're new to this digital space, and while we may not have many notable accomplishments yet, we're excited about the road ahead. Our hope is to share the wisdom of the coaches who have had a significant impact on Parker's development, as well as products that have served us well. To support the upkeep of this website and Parker's ongoing journey, some of our content may include affiliate links of products that we promote.  These are all products that we have used and products that we believe in.

As we grow and learn, we'll continue evolving our website, always with the aim of providing a supportive and helpful space for the hockey community. Whether you're here to learn, find resources, or simply share in our experiences, we're genuinely grateful for your company.

Thank you for joining us in celebrating the love of hockey and the personal growth that comes with it. Here's to our shared journey in this wonderful game!

Cheers,

Kinny and Michelle
